Main Street Newspaper Store Closes in San Shamanica, CA

The Main Street News shoppe is no more, after more than 20 years offering all the newspapers/magazines/cold drinks you could want. Located right next to the ever-popular Omelette Parlor here in the Ocean Park neighborhood of Santa Monica.

Can you believe it? I know! Sabi, the manager, told me the rent had gone up to $5 thousand a month.

You know I cried when Joe’s Diner closed and I had no place to read my morning newspapers.
Until I saw they closed the place that sold the newspapers.

Now what, should I just try to be amused?
